“The Lord is patient and great in mercy, pardoning unrighteousness and transgression, although He certainly does not let them go unpunished, but visits the unrighteousness of the fathers upon the children, to the third and fourth generation.”
Revelation 16
Day 234: And the first angel went and poured out his bowl into the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant sore upon the men who had the mark of the beast and who worshipped his image.
The great loud voice from the Temple has sounded. It is the voice of God Himself, or of one of the four ‘living beings’ who are always at the throne,1 who speak on God’s behalf. The last ‘plagues’ are clenched together to be unleashed on to the earth.
Day 235: The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died. The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: “You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, You who are and who were; for they have shed the blood of Your holy people and Your prophets, and You have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”1
Following the tumours, with which also Israel was afflicted if it did not listen to the Lord,2 the sea turns to blood ‘like that of a dead person’. Not only a third, but all the living creatures in the sea die.
Day 236: And I heard the altar respond: “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments.”1
The souls under the altar find rest.2 The prayers of all the saints are answered.3 God’s judgments come to completion. Earth is being cleansed of all unrighteousness and made ready for the Kingdom.
Day 237: And I heard the altar respond: “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are Your judgments.”1
The altar speaks—not only the souls ‘under the altar’2 or the ‘prayers of the saints’ on the altar3—but the altar itself. We already heard a voice from between the four horns of the golden altar4 that gave the sixth ‘trumpet’-angel the order
Day 238: The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the Name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify Him.1
Many people are worried about the climate. There is talk of the ‘greenhouse effect’, on account of the emission of noxious gases by cars and factories. The holes in the ozone layer are getting bigger and larger
Day 239: The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of Heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.1
The ‘bowls’ are poured out as a ‘fistful’. As a result, the worldwide adherents of the ‘beast’ are stricken with tumours (bowl 1), all life in the sea perishes because the water turns to ‘cadaver blood’ (bowl 2), as do the rivers and water sources (bowl 3).
Day 240: The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east.
The sixth ‘bowl’ corresponds to the sixth ‘trumpet’ in the parallel between the ‘trumpet’ and the ‘bowl’ judgments. The water of the Euphrates dries up – is it evaporated by the heat of the blazing sun?
Day 241: Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.1
It is clear that the above scenario involves more than just the ‘kings from the rising sun’, from the Near and Far East. The ‘kings of the whole earth’ are involved. They are marching to Israel for a dramatic final battle
Day 242: “Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments, lest he walk about naked and men see his shame.”
How wonderful this text is, in the midst of the world’s misery and the preparation for the greatest battle ever fought on earth. It is a beatitude—an encouragement for the believers!
Day 243: And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.
In this book, which is written in Greek, it is expressly stated that the place where the ‘kings of the earth’ will be gathered, together with their armies, is called ‘Har-Magedon’ or ‘Armageddon’ in Hebrew.
Day 244: And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the Temple from the throne, saying, “It is done.”
The voice that cried from the cross, “It is finished!”1 is the voice that now calls from the throne: “It is done!” He is seated with God on the throne.2 This converges with—and is mentioned in the same breath as—the Temple in Heaven.
