Of whom does this crowd, this multitude consist, and where is it? There are differing views. Are these the ‘celestial beings’—the angels and their princes and generals, the cherubim, and the seraphim—who are raising their voices…
Revelation 19
Day 286: And a second time they said, “Hallelujah! Her smoke rises up forever and ever.”
The sinners will perish from the earth, and the godless will no longer exist. “Bless the Lord, oh my soul! Hallelujah!” Babylon is destroyed; the Glorious Coming of Christ is very near.
Day 287: The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: “Amen, Hallelujah!”
These angelic princes and generals and the ‘four living beings/creatures’ who worship around the throne now join in the praise in Heaven and on earth. Salvation, glory and power and dominion belong to our God.
Day 288: And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”
The ‘great and the small’, and the ‘servants who fear the Lord’, were already mentioned under the seventh ‘trumpet’. At that time John saw the tremendous moment dawning when they were to receive their reward; that the time had come to judge the dead.
Day 289: And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude and as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.”
First there was the loud voice of the ‘great multitude that no one could count’. Then there was a voice coming from the throne. Now there is the voice again of that great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters, like peals of thunder, saying, Hallelujah!
Day 290: Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.
What is more beautiful and festive than a wedding feast? The bride and bridegroom have looked forward to it for days, weeks, months, maybe years, and then the day arrives! The bride has put on the most beautiful wedding dress she can find and the bridegroom is wearing a splendid suit.
Day 291: It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
The bride’s white dress is made of fine linen, bright and clean. This is what she is dressed in. This is what she is cloaked in. This is the first thing people notice. We are clothed with Christ’s righteousness.
Day 292: And he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”
John has to write this down especially. It is so wonderful to be invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb that it has to be put on paper. The invitation does have to be accepted, however. Jesus tells a parable about this.
Day 293: And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”
There can be no doubt about it. The invitation is sent out to the four corners of the earth. Only then ‘the end will come’, according to Jesus. We are quickly approaching that moment, as a result of the worldwide proclamation of the Gospel through radio and television…
Day 294: And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Nothing can be compared to the ‘marriage’ between Jesus Christ and His Church. The typology can make something clear to us, like the marriage between Rebecca and Isaac, and Asenath and Joseph who became ruler over the whole of Egypt…
Day 295: I saw Heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
Nothing can be compared to the ‘marriage’ between Jesus Christ and His Church. The typology can make something clear to us, like the marriage between Rebecca and Isaac, and Asenath and Joseph who became ruler over the whole of Egypt…
Day 296: And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”. These are the words of this Psalm of Thanksgiving for the Lord’s saving goodness. What a tremendously joyful day it will be for the true Church when Christ returns.
